A small number were designed for use in bars and pubs around Ireland in 1971. There are two windows/whiskey compartments. THIS MACHINE VENDS 1/3 GILL MEASURES. Coin Slot reads: “3 x 10p” Nice compact size. Dimensions: – Height: 68cm – Width: 43cm – Depth: 40cm – Electrically powered. Complete with keys. Takes old Irish 10p coins. This machine was designed to dispense whiskey in public places on a coin operated basis (3 x 10p coins per whiskey). It is the only vending machine in the world designed to serve straight whiskey. The machine was dead stock and has never been used. Having spent the last 50 years in its box the internal mechanics will need someone to recondition to working order if desired. Video and photo restoration instructions available. The machine accepts 1960’s – 1980’s Irish 10p coins. 3 x 10p coins per glass of Jameson. It has a light oak finish and comes complete with keys. Superb display and conversation piece for a pub or home bar. Only in Ireland would you find such an invention. A must have for any whiskey enthusiast or collector.
