Diamond Match Company 1c Vending Machine. The Diamond Match Company Vending Machine made by Beaton & Cadwell Co of New Britain Con pat. Machine has a stamping on the front bottom saying American made matches. Machine works by placing a coin in the slot on the front and pinching the two knobs together. The front face display can be adjusted by the store owner and loaded with 1 to 4 books of matches for a penny. Instructions for machine operation are inside the cover. Machine does have some fading of the graphics which is not unusual for a machine that is over 100 years old. The machine is in working condition.
