1959 Sani-Speed Ball Pen Coin Op Vending Machine Working & Extremely Rare
Working 1959 Sani-Speed Ball Pen Coin Operated Vending Machine W/ Original Feet. These machines are, by and large, incredibly rare. This specific variant of the Sani-Speed machine is even more so, as it is quite literally the only one of its kind on the open market. The only pictures that you’re likely to find anywhere on the internet are going to be of the later designs, culminating in the iteration of the machine that has a prominent viewing port. We believe that our machine is either the first, or one of the very first designs. What’s more, it’s in absolutely brilliant condition, having entirely original components. Both the coin op and vending mechanisms are pristine and work as intended. It’s so much fun to watch the quarters gracefully fall into the coin drawer. This machine comes with its original key, as well as an intact Tennessee’Department of Finance and Taxation’ vending machine registration sticker/seal, and original feet (seen in coin drawer). You’ll note bits of minor paint damage, small dents, and aesthetic surface rust. To be expected, given its age and the environments these ol’ girls were typically used in. Every inch of the frame is structurally solid – heck, I’d practically clear it for service as-is! For a bit of backstory, Sani-Speed Manufacturing Company’s more common variants were deployed into popular use in 1960. There was a time when these machines could be found all over the place. The testing that I’ve performed on the coin op and vending mechanisms all involve the use of plastic straws – the wheel performs beautifully. Suffice it to say, they don’t make them like they used to. Due to the age and extreme rarity of this piece, an excessive amount of packaging material will be used in order to protect the vending machine. No chances are to be taken. Dimensions: 8.5″ L x 5.25″ W (deep) x 13.25 H. Weight: 10.8 lbs. We will respond to you within 24 hours and do our best to help you out! Item condition is reflected in the listing photos. Any condition statement given, as a courtesy to a client, is only an opinion and should not be treated as a statement of fact.
