Vintage 1940s Era 5 Cent Abbey Mfg. CASH TRAY Gumball or Nut Vending Machine. Condition is as seen. No cracks breaks or damage to either the globe or aluminum body, there is oxidization on the interior of the globe and needs to be cleaned out. These machines were available on a stand or tray models and either with penny or nickel coin mechanisms. FOR SALE: 1948 Abbey Cash Tray vending machine. This machine has a small vending hole to vend very small items such as Skittles. The machine was designed to vend small chlorophyll tablets for good breath. It works well with a nickel. The machine is in original condition. Machine is made of cast aluminum, in original unpolished condition. Tray is nice original chromed steel with very slight rust on the top and bottom. I believe the globe is original, decal is new. Original locking nuts on top and bottom with special wrench to remove them. Machine measures about 8″ tall and 10″ across base.
